The very same style that he still uses today. In 1989 he returns to PR, and worked at Club Eleven as a light technician and back up DJ for DJ Junior Molina. When this combination happened all hell broke loose. One of the best technical DJs from PR, Junior Molina and one of the best street DJ Louie Lou were able to bring the house down by combining their unique style of mixing creating a dream like environment for all to enjoy. Club Eleven however short lived. It was magical to listen to DJ Junior Molina and DJ Louie Lou pack the house night after night but they both had to part ways. Blown back to NY, by Hurricane Hugo Louie started working the Dance Halls of Brooklyn with his long time friend Juan L, Guzman. In 1990DJ Louie Lou contacted DJ Junior Molina who at the time was living in the Bronx and was working on the creation of a DJ's service company called Sound Waves Professional Disc Jockeys. DJ Louie Lou was able to help out Junior Molina but he was unable to stay with the company because of personal reasons. In 1991 Louie Lou moved to reading PA, where he kept busy at small events and worked a 9 to 5 job. It was there where he suffered a freak accident leaving blind. Now totally blind, alone and unable to work, his depression took its toll and managed to silence Louie Lou.
In 1998 his very close friend Juan L, Guzman dies due to illness. But before his untimely deaf, he shared an important message with Louie. “What you used to do mixing came within you, not from what you can see. You have and always been a natural DJ, so snap out of it who cares your blind just do what you know what to do best". It was those words that inspired Louie to pursue his passion for mixing.
Welcome to the CD generation. CD’s gave Louie Lou better handle than vinyl. However, he had to re-learn how to operate the new generation of DJ equipment and device a music cataloging system to compensate for his lack of vision. DJ Louie Lou retrained himself and slowly returned back to DJing weddings and sweet sixteen’s but stayed away from the Club scene. During his comeback, DJ Louie Lou won the Lehigh valley 2004 Battle Of The DJ's. This opened the door for a weekly mix radio show at WHOL. The program director Victor Martinez, former program director of Mega Philly asked Louie Lou to stop by the radio station to talk about a weekly mixing show. Mr. Martinez told Louie Lou that because of his disability he would need to work with someone to work the console and he already has someone in mind. Guillo El Lokillo a young upcoming radio DJ personality whose pump up the crowd MC style became a perfect fit for Louie Lou's mixes. And so began the radio shows.
