Our prices cover more than just playing music. All of our entertainment packages include a planning consultation (to work with you to customize the entertainment for your event). All of our package prices cover normal setup and breakdown time (which does NOT count towards the hours). Our entertainment packages start at 5 hours to cover these additional costs. We can do shorter performances, but we will still charge for a minimum of 5 hours. There may be some additional charges for special circumstances--see miscellaneous below.

Before you look at prices, think about the total amount you are spending on your event (catering, photography, flowers, etc.) and what the impact would be if poor quality entertainment ruined your event. Entertainment is the one service that by itself can make or break your event! No price (high, low or average) is a good price if you don't get the quality service you need.

  It costs a lot of money to form and run a quality professional DJ service. Money must be spent on building and maintaining a diverse music library (so requests from you and your guests can be honored), purchasing and maintaining quality professional equipment (that looks and sounds good and works reliably at every event), insurance, advertising, accounting, etc. The time the DJ service spends working with you to plan and customize your event also costs money. Cut-rate DJ services will not have the cash flow to sustain these expenses unless they cut corners (and that may leave you with a smaller variety of music, substandard sound, equipment that fails on the job, inexperience and poorly paid DJs, etc.).

With this in mind, think about what percent of your event's budget should be devoted to hiring professional entertainment that will guarantee the success of your event.

Entertainment Packages

DJ-Only Entertainment Package: 1 DJ to play continuous music and (optionally) make introductions and announcements for the contracted period, 1 assistant to help the DJ handle requests and coordinate with other event staff, all professional sound equipment, volume level under your control, and your choice of over 20,000 of the best hits of yesterday and today. $600 for up to 5 hours, $175 for each additional hour booked in advance ($225 per overtime hour at the event). This package does not include an MC to run games/contests or lead follow-along dances.

MC Entertainment Package: 2 person team with 1 DJ/MC to play continuous music for the contracted period, all professional sound equipment, volume level under your control, and your choice of over 20,000 of the best hits of yesterday and today. The DJ/MC will make introductions and announcements, lead your guests in follow-along dances, interact with your guests on the floor and in their seats, and coordinate with other event staff. $750 for up to 5 hours, $200 for each additional hour booked in advance ($225 per overtime hour at the event).

Wedding and Sweet 16 DJ Party Package: The recommended starter package for Sweet 16’s and Wedding receptions.  3-person team including everything in the MC Entertainment Package plus 1 interactive DJ to perform choreographed dances at predetermined times, and to assist the MC with leading follow-along dances, running games and contests, giving out party favors, and getting your guests involved. This package also includes a basic lighting set-up and $100 in party favors. $1,250 for up to 5 hours, $300 for each additional hour booked in advance ($425 per overtime hour at the event).

Music Video Packages Ask about our customized video packages (prices vary depending on options). Options include but are not limited to:

  • A front projection or dual 50" plasma display photo/video montage with splash screen. (Great for weddings and Sweet 16’s)

  • A front projection or dual 50" plasma display music video presentation. (DJ will play several music videos of your choice throughout the event)

  • Complete Music Video party with a dedicated VJ. (This is available in front projection and in 50” plasma packages).

 

 

Ceremony/Cocktail Music System: A smaller second sound system with DJ to provide music in a different room (from the main reception). $200 for up to 1 hour, $125 for each additional hour booked in advance ($275 per overtime hour at the event). Only available as an add-on to one of our entertainment packages. If start time is earlier than start time for primary system, then idle time for the main system's package will also be charged.

Additional Party Dancers: If you are expecting a lot of guests, you may want additional party dancers to help give out party favors faster, and to spread out around the dance floor so more people can see them.  1 dancer for every 25-30 People is a good ratio. Each additional Party Dancer is $200 for up to 4 hours, $88 for each additional hour.

Karaoke add-on to any entertainment package above: Allow your guests to sing along with their favorite hits. We bring over 900 popular Karaoke songs from the 50s through today, Karaoke player (can be connected to main sound system or run standalone in another room), and video monitor for singers. $199.

Karaoke without DJ system. Perfect for small parties. 1 person team including KJ (Karaoke Jockey), over 900 popular Karaoke songs from the 50s through today, small Karaoke player with built-in amplifier and speaker (for larger rooms you may want to add powered speakers), and video monitor for singers. $399 for up to 4 hour, $150 for each additional hour.

Individual Songs for Candle Lighting Ceremony: For Sweet 16s, we normally provide a standard medley of instrumental background music for the cake candle lighting ceremony. For just $89 you can further personalize the ceremony by choosing different individual songs of your choice for each candle.

Party Lighting Package: Includes 2 sound-activated multi-color multi-pattern effects. All are mounted on a T-bar atop a stand which can be cranked up to 8½ feet or just below ceiling height, whichever is less. $99.

Intelligent Lighting Package: Includes 4 intelligent light fixtures mounted on a truss atop a pair of stands which can be cranked up to 8½ feet or just below ceiling height, whichever is less (T-Bar is also available). Also includes 2 additional special effects and Laser Show  for a high-end club-like experience. $299 for up to 5 hours, $80 for each additional hour. 

Smoke Machine is included in both lighting packages  

Miscellaneous

Road hands: If you or your venue requires us to setup or break down in less than our standard setup time, additional road hands may be required. Most banquet facilities have roll-up access. If your event requires equipment to be lifted onto a stage or loading dock, carried up stairs, across a lawn, or over a large distance (typically 500 feet or more), or if your event is in certain city locations (particularly NYC) then road hands are required. Our small systems (without lights) require a minimum of one road hand. Our big systems (or small system with lights) require a minimum of two road hands (the Party  package already includes one, and we may be able to count the DJ as the second one). Each (additional) road hand is $149 for up to 5 hours, $38 for each additional hour.

Lodging: If an overnight stay is needed due to long travel time or long party/setup/breakdown time, you will have to pay for motel rooms for our staff. This will be discussed in advance and will be clearly indicated on your contract.

Location Charges: Our primary service area (for which there is no location charge) includes the following:

 NYC. Bronx, Westchester and parts of Queens. For other areas, flat-fee location charges are added based on the distance and the number of personnel.
